Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Hotel
 Kigali Genocide Memorial

One World Observatory

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali.

If time allows, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, one of the most important historical sites in Rwanda.

Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside to Volcanoes National Park, home to rare primates and spectacular volcanic landscapes.

In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about gorilla conservation efforts.

Later, enjoy a cultural experience at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where you will interact with local communities and learn about traditional Rwandan culture.

Golden Monkey trekking adventure

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your Golden Monkey trekking adventure.

The hike through the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains offers an opportunity to observe the playful and endangered golden monkeys in their natural habitat.

After the trek, drive across the border into Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for its population of endangered mountain gorillas.

Gorilla Trekking

Today is the highlight of your safari.

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your mountain gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Guided by experienced trackers, you will hike through dense forest until you locate one of the habituated gorilla families. You will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants, watching them interact, feed, and play in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, enjoy a community cultural visit where you will learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the local communities living near the park.

Lake Mutanda Canoe Ride

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic canoe ride on the beautiful Lake Mutanda, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Virunga volcanoes.

Later, begin the drive back to Kigali, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport depending on your departure schedule.
