Day 1: Moshi – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut

Your 4-Days Mount Meru Climbing adventure begins with a transfer from Moshi or Arusha to Arusha National Park. After registration at Momella Gate, start trekking through open grasslands where buffalo, warthogs, giraffes, and elephants roam freely. Accompanied by a professional mountain guide and armed ranger, you gradually ascend into lush montane forest rich with birdlife and black-and-white colobus monkeys.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near the famous Fig Tree before continuing toward Miriakamba Hut. By afternoon, admire dramatic views of the Ash Cone and Meru cliffs.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut – Little Meru

After breakfast, continue your Mount Meru Trekking Tour through dense forest into moorland terrain. The trail becomes steeper as you approach Saddle Hut, offering panoramic views of Meru Crater and distant Mount Kilimanjaro. This stage is essential for acclimatization, reducing altitude sickness risk before summit day. After lunch at Saddle Hut, take an optional afternoon hike to Little Meru (3,820m) for acclimatization and spectacular sunset photography.
Return to Saddle Hut for a hot dinner and early rest in preparation for the midnight summit attempt.

Day 3: Summit Socialist Peak – Descend to Miriakamba Hut

Summit day begins around midnight with a challenging climb along the narrow crater rim to Socialist Peak (4,565m), Mount Meru’s highest point. Reaching the summit at sunrise rewards climbers with breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru Crater, and the surrounding Tanzanian plains. After celebrating and taking photographs, descend carefully back to Saddle Hut for brunch.
Continue descending through alpine and forest zones to Miriakamba Hut for well-deserved rest. This long trekking day highlights the true adventure of Mount Meru Climbing in Tanzania.

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut – Momella Gate – Return to Moshi/Arusha
