Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

One World Observatory

Your adventure begins as you land at Entebbe International Airport, where a Volcanoes Safaris representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to your luxury hotel. Relax and unwind in style as you prepare for the thrilling journey ahead.

After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe Airport for your scenic domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip. Upon arrival, your expert Volcanoes Safaris guide will meet you and provide guidance throughout your safari.

Drive approximately one hour to the luxurious Kibale Lodge, nestled near Kibale National Park. En route, visit the Rwenzori Sculpture Foundation, showcasing traditional Ugandan clan art through a unique cultural partnership with Volcanoes Safaris.

Enjoy panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the sprawling Queen Elizabeth plains. In the afternoon, visit a local school as part of the Roots & Shoots program, empowering women leaders in conservation through collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute.

Wind down your day with pre-dinner cocktails and a fireside conversation with a primatologist, offering fascinating insights into the care of wild chimpanzees.

After lunch, explore the Kyambura Gorge on a walking safari, tracking the “Lost Chimpanzees of Kyambura.” Witness these incredible primates in their natural habitat amid the gorge’s lush, contrasting landscape.
