Tour Itinerary

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Arusha
Tarangire National Park Day Trip

One World Observatory

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a scenic 2–3 hour drive through the Maasai countryside, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park, a gem of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

Tarangire is best known for having the highest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. You will enjoy extensive game drives across the park, where vast savannah plains are dotted with towering baobab trees and crossed by the Tarangire River — the park’s main water source.

During the dry season (July to October), wildlife gathers along the river in spectacular numbers. Expect to see:

  • Elephants
  • Lions
  • Giraffes
  • Zebras
  • Buffaloes
  • Wildebeests
  • Warthogs
  • Waterbucks
  • Various antelope species
  • And, with a bit of luck, even a python

Bird enthusiasts will also be thrilled, as the park hosts more than 550 species.

Around midday, you will stop at a designated picnic site to enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by nature. After lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to further wildlife viewing before beginning your return journey to Arusha in the late afternoon, arriving at your hotel before sunset.
