Overview Ngorongoro Crater

Depart from Arusha with picnic lunches and head for a tour of Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area and descend 600 meters into the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. If that is not impressive enough it is one of the only places where you can spot the big 5 in one day (if you are lucky!). Other animals found here include: Zebras, Warthogs, Wildebeests, Hyenas, Jackals, Cheetahs, Elands, Gazelles and Hippos. Additionally, there is an abundant array of birdlife including: Pelicans, Flamingos, Crowned Cranes, Fire Finches and Kori Bustard Geese. In the late afternoon, after enjoying the crater tour, you will ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha for dinner and an overnight at your hotel.
