Enjoy breakfast and then drive to Marangu village for walking tour of the waterfalls located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then, tour the local coffee and banana plantations. The most interesting aspect of the trip is the tour of the Chagga caves which were used by indigenous Tanzanian tribes to protect themselves from Maasai warriors looking for food, water and cattle during dry season. In the afternoon, enjoy African cuisine in a local restaurant. In the evening, drive back to Arusha for dinner and an overnight.
It was a wonderful experience. We found a perfect organization with a very professional guide Shafi. We enjoyed a lot every single day watching a lot of animals and amazing landscapes.
