Here's an overview of what you might expect during your 10-day safari.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kenya & Tanzania Safari

    Welcome to Nairobi! On arrival, you will be met and greeted by our local representative who will transfer you to Mt. Kenya Safari Club. On Arrival, check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.With magnificent views of majestic Mount Kenya, the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort’s 120 luxuriously appointed hotel rooms, set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, offer a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure.

    Originally the retreat of movie star and Club founder, William Holden, the Club’s illustrious former members have included Winston Churchill and Bing Crosby.There are many recreational activities available: horseback riding, golf, croquet, a bowling green, table tennis, swimming, a beauty salon, an animal orphanage and much more.   • Day 2: Mt.Kenya: Excursion to Sweetwaters

    Enjoy breakfast this morning. After breakfast, proceed for excursion trip to Sweetwaters. The privately owned 22,000 acre Sweetwaters game reserve and chimpanzee sanctuary has an abundance of wildlife and beautiful vegetation and enjoys magnificent views across the bush to the peaks of Mt. Kenya. Later this afternoon, return to your hotel in Mt. Kenya and relax. Overnight in Mt. Kenya Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 3: Mt. Kenya- Naivasha : Cresent Island Walking Safari

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Naivasha. On arrival, check-in to your lodge. After a sumptuous lunch, proceed to Cresent Island for a walking safari. Located on Lake Naivasha, Kenya in the Great Rift Valley. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya. There are more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park, hence many film companies have been to the Island to film the herds of Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Zebra and Gazelle.

    From the top of the hill there is a 360 degree view across the Lake from Longonot to Hell’s Gate to the Mau Escarpement to Eburu and onto the Aberdares. Walking along the ridge in the golden hour before sunset whilst watching the animals grazing with the water shimmering beyond, is what Africa is all about.After this exhilarating experience, return to your lodge in time for dinner. Overnight in Naivasha Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 4: Naivasha – Masai Mara : Evening game drive

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the lodge and drive to Mara. On arrival, check- in to your camp. After a sumptuous lunch and freshening up, proceed for your evening game in the Masai Mara Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five:Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.

    Residents among the Parks are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and grants Gazelles.After the safari, return to your camp and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Mara Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

  • Day 5: Masai Mara : Morning and evening game drive

    This morning, awaken early for your game drive. It’s easiest to find animals chase their pray at this time of the day, as they are at their hungriest best. After the game drive, return to the camp and enjoy breakfast! After a relaxed lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous ‘Big 5’. in the evening, return to your camp in time for dinner.Overnight in Mara Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

  • Day 6: Mara- Arusha : Day at leisure

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the camp and drive to Nairobi Airport for your flight of Kilimanjaro. On arrival at Kilimanjaro, you will be meet and greeted by our representative who will drive you to Arusha. On arrival, check-in to hotel and spent the rest of the day at leisure.

    Arusha is a city in East Africa’s Tanzania, located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru. It’s a gateway to safari destinations and to Africa’s highest peak, 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, lying some 100 kilometers northeast. To the west lies Serengeti National Park, home to wildlife including lions, rhinoceros, giraffes and leopards. Annual migrations feature huge herds of wildebeests crossing its plains. Overnight in Arusha.

  • Day 7: Arusha- Ngorongoro: Day at leisure

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Ngorongoro. On arrival, check-in to hotel and spent the rest of the day at leisure.The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 km west of Arusha in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five.

    Volcanic craters form stunning backdrops to some of the most fertile and richest grazing grounds in Africa. The most famous such crater is without question Ngorongoro, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including all the big five and plenty of predators. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continent’s most famous safari destinations.Overnight in Ngorongoro Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 8: Ngorongoro : Crater visit with Picnic Lunch

    After breakfast this morning, proceed for the much awaited visit to the Crater along with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests. Established in 1959 as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera.

    Endangered black rhino are protected within its rim, giant tusked elephants wander the forests, black-manned lions stalk the grasslands, and flamingos crowd the soda lakes. An estimated 25 000 large mammals are resident in this bowl of plenty, including a population of approximately 6 000 resident wildebeest, 16 highly endangered black rhino and around 70 lions. Cheetah move in and out of the Crater, while leopard are most often encountered in the spectacular Lerai Forest. After your visit, return to your lodge and relax.Overnight in Ngorongoro Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  • Day 9:Ngorongoro-Manyara : Evening game drive

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the lodge and transfer to Manyara. On arrival, check-in and proceed for lunch. After freshening up, begin your evening game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks.

    The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the park’s western border. To the east is the alkaline Lake Manyara, which covers one-third of the park, but shrinks considerably in the dry season. During the rains, the lake hosts millions of flamingos and other birdlife. While Manyara lacks the raw drama of other northern circuit destinations, its vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to marshes to evergreen forest Elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and wildebeest are often spotted. Leopards and hyenas are also here. Lake Manyara is also home to a famous population of tree-climbing lions. After your visit, return to your lodge and relax.Overnight in Lake Manyara.

  • Day 10:Manyara- Kilimanjaro – Bombay

    After breakfast this morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Kilimanjaro Airport to board your flight back to Bombay.
